ORDER DELIVERY
1. How are the prints shipped?
Your prints are shipped either flat or in a resistant cardboard tube. They are carefully rolled up with a protective sheet to prevent any damage to the printed area. The ends are cushioned with soft tissue paper. We include specific handling instructions to ensure that your order is handled carefully in transit.
The framed artworks are carefully bedded in bubble wrap and shipped in cardboard boxes, along with specific handling instructions.
2. When will my order ship?
We print, inspect, package, and ship most orders within 3 to 5 business days. Processing times may vary due to high order volume. Once shipped, you will receive a shipping notification email with a tracking number and a tracking link.
3. What happens if a print gets damaged during transit?
We do everything we can to protect your print order, but sometimes (bad) things happen in transit.
Should you receive a damaged order, please do not refuse delivery; shippers will not process the damage claim until the package has reached its final destination. Contact our customer support immediately (within 2 working days) with your order number and the details of your situation so that we can correct it. If possible, please include some photos of the damage.
We will ship out replacements as soon as we can.
4. Why haven't I received my order/shipping confirmation?
If you haven't received your order/shipping confirmation, it may be because of these 2 reasons: You may have not finalized the order (once an order is finalized you receive a confirmation e-mail containing your order number and all of its details). The confirmation e-mail may have gone into your junk mail folder. If none of the above happened, please contact our colleague from Customer Support: hello[@]colorhood.com. Please make sure you mention “Order issue” in the e-mail Subject.
5. What can I do if I haven't received my order yet?
You can use the tracking number provided to receive detailed updates of the shipment. If you missed delivery you may wish to contact the courier to re-schedule delivery.
If your order is an International order, it may have been delayed by customs. The shipping times are estimated based on the average time in transit. If a package is held up by customs it may take additional time for delivery to occur. If your order hasn't been delivered within 4 weeks please contact support and we'll be able to assist you further.
ARTWORK DETAILS
6. What kind of paper and ink do you use?
All of our printers use a 12 ink color system. This color combination provides extremely wide color fidelity while also showing outstanding details.
Our papers are 100% acid-free cotton fiber at 270 gsm. The ink we use is likely to last up to 200 years maintaining its color properties, if kept in optimal conditions (no direct sunlight or moisture).
7. Are the prints archival?
Yes. The printing method and materials we use all follow archival standards.
8. Are the prints signed, numbered, and/or stamped?
Yes, COLORHOOD artists have arranged for signed prints. All our reproductions are accompanied by sequentially numbered and stamped authenticity certificates.
9. Are the prints offered in limited edition series?
Yes, each reproduction is part of a limited edition. So if you like them, make sure you grab them while they’re still available.
10. Will my print be identical to what I see on screen?
Most of the time, the colors you see on-screen will be very faithful to the prints you receive in the mail. You may notice subtle shifts in color, as most computer monitors are not calibrated exactly the same.
All of our prints have a minimum one-inch white border, which helps the color pop.
11. Can I return a print if I don't like it?
Due to the nature of the product you're purchasing, all sales are final. We do offer replacement prints in cases of damage or defect. Please see question #3: “What happens if a print gets damaged during transit?”

12. How do I submit work for sale on COLORHOOD?
You can create an account on our website, confirm your registration, and proceed with uploading resized versions of your artworks (800x800px).
Please note that these do not need to be print-ready files. We're just looking for web-sized samples of your artwork.
If your portfolio is approved by our team, you will receive an e-mail with all the instructions and requirements for being admitted in our community. If your works are not approved in 20 days after they have been uploaded, you will receive a notification e-mail with a feedback from our team.
IMPORTANT: The works you choose to upload on our website must be available in the standard dimensions (30x40cm, 50x70cm, 70x100cm) as high resolution images – 300px or more. After we approve your portfolio, we will send you an e-mail requiring the high size & resolution files.
You must be the creator of all the artworks you are submitting.
13. Will I still own the rights to my artworks?
Yes, as an artist, you may retain complete rights to your images. Colorhood does not buy the rights to your artworks. With your approval, we do print and distribute it for you. Aside from this, we only reserve the right to use your images to promote your sales through marketing campaigns.
14. How much can I earn?
Artists who collaborate with Colorhood earn 30% of all sale prices. All printing and material costs are covered by us.
We also promote artworks available on our site on our Tumblr blog, on Facebook, Twitter and other social media pages, and by organizing or participating at various Art Fairs.
The more every artist promotes his/her artworks, the more he/she can earn, so linking your Colorhood Profile wherever you display your artwork can bring you greater earnings.
15. How do I get paid?
Each ordered artwork is subtracted from its Limited Series and by checking the remaining artworks you can estimate the commission we owe you (30% of each print’s selling price).
We have an internal managing system and when you reach a balance of 50$, we proceed with the payment. By the end of every month, you will also receive an e-mail notification containing the sales report and the amount you must receive from Colorhood.
Soon you will be able to check all the transactions on your artist profile, as we are still working on implementing the Transaction Manager.
