About the artist

Cristiana Radu is a visual artist and a fervent illustrator, residing in Bucharest, Romania. She has a Master's Degree (2006) in Visual Arts, and she specialized in Graphics and Painting.

She loves to do book illustration and she has published so far 10 titles. She also loves to decorate children's rooms and she coordinates workshops with children of different ages.

Her drawings are fresh, innovative and dreamy and her style blends fairy realism and a peculiar decorative manner, betraying influences that range from Art Nouveau to illuminated manuscripts and from Japanese to French and Russian (picture book) cultures.
