Artwork details
Realized as part of an exhibition project, these 3 images (Bucharest Blue/Yellow/Red) are in fact fake memories of Bucharest, sewn together from bits of actual places, fantastic novels I have read a long time ago and a feeling of nostalgic longing, inexplicable as the actual city has somehow failed me...
About the artist
Book illustrator and comic strip author, Maria describes her professional journey as a blend between the timeless stories read in childhood, various French book illustrations and her studentship years at the University of Art and Design from Cluj.
She defines herself as a Darkroom, simultaneously nostalgic and pragmatic, transforming her own memories, sensations and feelings into pictures. Thus, she combines the playful pseudo-realism of childhood, the tenderness and the militant poetry of the adolescent and a subtle spirituality of the post-modern adult.

About the printing technique
Giclée fine art prints are high-fidelity reproductions of original artworks, produced on a professional ink-jet printer.
The 270g textured fine art paper we use offers a great archival stability, guaranteeing a durability that exceeds 100 years for prints framed behind glass and guarded from UV rays. The watercolor texture of the surface lends a certain characteristic to the print, revealing impressive details of the artwork.
