Artwork details

One of the two large illustrations made for the ArtWurst exhibition (May, 2011), which was also featured in Depthcore's Obsolete chapter: http://depthcore.com/chapter/obsolete/4761/

About the artist

Noper is a Romanian illustrator with a thing for animation.

He currently lives in Bucharest and works as an art director with an advertising agency.

In his early career he often found himself juggling with various illustration styles, but his more mature work clearly underlines his passion to create fabulous and bizarre characters and worlds. His final works are always elaborated, always yearning to be watched thoroughly in order to discover all the details.

He finds his muses in everyday life, be it a funny event or a month-old frustration.

That's why the majority of his surreal characters often are a "day to day" satirical quotation.

He never plans or sketches a drawing, but prefers to pump every bit of his spontaneous creativity on any type of canvas he has in front of him: a piece of paper, a tablet, a wall or a napkin. This is how every work gets an organic, unique feeling.

He goes by the motto: “If I see it, maybe I'll feel it. But if I feel it, fuck I'll draw it".

Lords of The City

NOPER + Saint Machine

FEED ME is a ludic experiment that explores the relation between the artwork and its public.
With a self‐ironic approach, the project is calling the subjects of monstrous and perpetually insatiable Tra to her feeding ritual: the entire exhibition is a live organism that feeds on the energy produced by the movements of the public.

FEED ME is an interactive multimedia capsule that carries a fluid, dynamic platform where everything moves, pulses and reacts to motion on a common rhythm.

About the printing technique

Giclée fine art prints are high-fidelity reproductions of original artworks, produced on a professional ink-jet printer.

The 270g textured fine art paper we use offers a great archival stability, guaranteeing a durability that exceeds 100 years for prints framed behind glass and guarded from UV rays. The watercolor texture of the surface lends a certain characteristic to the print, revealing impressive details of the artwork.
